Eyewall

Who would of thought that so weird a thing could start out as one of Michelle Trachtenberg's eyes. I originally wanted 'tesseract' as a screen name for this site, and designed a logo. The name was taken. I considered 'deepblue'. Also taken. Hmmm.... 'deepvision', ...bingo! so I needed a logo. I decided I wanted a big, expressive eye, hence Ms. Trachtenberg. I took an eye from a close-up photograph (it helped that she really had a lot of eyeshadow on), airbrushed it, greyscaled it, and ran it through my computer's filter (diffuse glow) to produce a calm, sleek 'Eye-of-Ra' effect. Then, out of curiosity, I tried some of the other filters. When I hit 'craquelure', I had this effect that so startled me I laughed out loud. After some consideration, I thought that if this amused me it might amuse others, so I airbrushed in a red iris and called it my logo. Hope it amuses you as much.
